The PR is the way to “advertise” the company without any advertising materials. The most important thing that I have learned about the PR is that the PR is an investment and an asset of the company in the long run. You do not collect the fruits of your work (at least not during the same season), there is no such thing as ROI, there is nothing that fills in the pocket in the near future. This is probably the reason for more than 90% of the managers to underestimate the power of the PR. Or let’s put it that way – “We don’t know what’s going to be the future of the company and by future we mean what’s going to happen with the company in 100 years. So there is no solid ground for investments to be made. Only history can tell, and what better PR than history.” Well I would say this is a weak excuse and pretty much reveals the picture over the development of the company in the future. It shows also if the company goes after the quick returns here and now or its goal is to offer a benefit to the world, which will make it prevail in the future. To sum it up I would say that by the PR you can measure and predict the future of a company. I have read some amazing articles of the PR strategies of Honda, Toyota and Sony which started to develop PR, right after WWII and actually were between the pioneers in the field.
I would say the PR starts within the company – what are the relationships within the team, who are the leaders and what example do they give to the rest. Take it from there and follow the perspective outside the company – subcontractors, associates and partners. If all these are “set up” right, you have the solid base for the final and most important part – the public and what is the image of the company in the face of the world.
Creativity
Graphic design and visual art have always been part of who I am. From the first crayon sun on the wall to the latest web site, banner or camera shot – they all represent my zest for versatile, colorful, vibrant life
Professionalism
Marketer by education, profession and mindset I believe the good research and analyses lead to good planning and results. And then there is the full array of communication channels to present, inform and educate - from the dynamic search engine marketing and social media optimization to the simple but mandatory business card
Precision
The web will never stop amazing me - its richness, its limitlessness, its diversity. My jealousy for the developers being part of this magic has had a fair influence on my HTML, CSS, XML and even action script skills. But being much closer to the business world my contribution has always been limited to the web content management – its accuracy, its sufficiency, its visualization and its detailed representation
